I purchased the Lexus GX460 on 7/11/16 I noticed a vibration coming from the brake pedal. I thought it might be a "new car kink", and it would wear off. I called the service department the following week and made an apt for 7/25. The service rep. told me the problem was diagnosed but would take some time to repair. I was later called by Daniel Walker the rep. I originally made the appointment with who was " out to lunch" at the appt. time. Daniel told me they were not able to duplicate the vibration and the service manager needed to ask me a few more questions. What more could I tell him? THERE IS A CONSTANT VIBRATION IN THE BRAKE PEDAL, and why is she giving me conflicting information?

A week later Daniel called to inform me the vehicle was ready at 4:45 pm, she was leaving soon, but service was open until 7pm. Unable to go on 8/1, I took the day off on 8/3 to go pick up the vehicle. I was told to go see the cashier. I asked the cashier to get the service supervisor who came 20 mins. later to tell me my vehicle was repaired. He claimed they changed the defective part twice because the vibration was still there after the first time. When I attempted to leave the vehicle had not been washed. I had to request that. I waited another 20 mins. I attempted to leave again; the vibration was still there. I pulled back into the space I had been in and all the service managers and supervisors tried to convince me it was normal that all the GX460 models did the same thing.

They has me drive another GX460, and I was told that one doesn't vibrate as much as mine when I told them I didn't feel a vibration, and there are some that vibrate worse than mine. I explained that a brake issue is ultimately a safety issue, and the vehicle is defective and there needs to be a recall. I'm sure they'll recall it as soon as they figure out how to fix it. Also, the vehicle I test drove did not have the brake vibration. After realizing he had failed to convince me it was "normal", he claimed he would have to make an appt. with the Field Engineer and that would take a few days.

Tomorrow 8/8/16 will be two weeks that I have been without the vehicle. I stopped considering it mine after the service rep. tried to convince me it was normal to feel a vibration in the brake pedal.
