We don't have a lot of complaints on file for the Lexus RX300 (although feel free to add yours here) -- it's either not very popular ... or it's very, very good.
The 2000 Lexus RX300 has the most complaints, & the most-reported problem is also with the 2000 RX300 for transmission failed.

engine check lights on -- 2008 RX300:
Computer check code is 0171, bank 1 system to lean. most of mechanics want me change the oxygen sensor cost more then $700 with 2 upstream and 1 down stream. I doubt this is the problem. finally, found MAF sensor dirty, after cleaning up, all problem solved. Read more »

vsc engine light is on -- 2001 RX300:
After having the timing belt replaced, the VSC Check Engine Light came on so I took it back and there was some sort of weight which was replaced and then it came on again after a few days, went away after a week, came back, went away, had an oil change, transmission fluid change and now its back!
