Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Entire under carriage and frame found to have extensive rust effecting structural integrity / safety, critical safety systems (brake lines, suspension structure), frame, fuel lines, fuel tank, and steering linkage. This is general attack corrosion with structural failure, corrosion fatigue, etc. There were / are no extenuating circumstances under any definition of normal use to explain this degree & extent of corrosion other than a manufacturing issue.

Our 2003 Lexus LX 470 is experiencing significant frame rust similar to the same model year as the Toyota Tundra and sequoia which were recalled. It is possible that the LX frames came from the same factory inferior quality of steel and/or received improper undercoating.
