This vehicle is dealer serviced every 5,000 miles since new. Now we discover rubber boots on lower control arm bushings are torn, apparently allowing dirt to damage the lower control arms.
I wonder:
whether this problem should have been discovered earlier before damage to parts protected by boots.
whether the technician damaged the boots at this service or earlier.
Whether the damage occurred earlier perhaps when technician was trying to locate cause of squawk when braking (separately reported problem).
