I have a 2008 ford mercury mariner. I took it to the dealership last week due to transmission fluid leaking. the dealer informed me that a seam in the transcooler was splitting. Upon investigating i found that others have been having the same problem on escapes and mariners which come from the same factory. I was 556 miles over the 36000 warranty and they want $702.00 to fix it, a FACTORY DEFECT!!! now as a person who works for ford and has for almost 11 years i cant believe the treatment i received. not only did the dealer refuse every avenue except that which would fatten their pocket, but when i showed up to take my car it had 1/4 tank less gas, the rear hatch was open and no one could explain why, and the miles on it went from 36556 to 36007. what a joke!!!!!!
