When driving the engine will quit for no apparent reason. Shift to netural and restart fine. I think it is a grounding problem. However the dealer cannot find a cause therefore cannot fix it. Now occurs about once a week. Help!

Engine would die suddenly. Car was towed to dealership, they tested the car and found the fuel pump was faulty. They wanted almost $500 to replace the pump. I opted to repair it myself and had it towed to my house. After further investigation, the fuel pump was fine. The car has a bundle of ground wires that connect to various things like the door locks, pwr windows and fuel pump. This ground buss is located under the carpet next to the drivers side door. Remove the buss bar, clean corrosion, put back together and you should be working again. Cost to fix this, a can of corrosion cleaner.
