car dies for no apparent reason while driving... after about 30 minutes will re-start... and run for another brief period... then stall again... had the alternator tested and it is fine... had the fuel pressure checked and it registered over 40.. so i have gas and spark... why does it stall while driving???

My 1995 Bonneville has been a wonderful car for the past 10 years. I really got my moneies worth out of the ol girl, but at 135,000 miles there has been more than enough service problems with the car. From the engine to the CD player and everything in between. My advise to any 1995 Bonneville owners, get rid of it by 135k or expect lots, and lots of repair bills!

CAR STOPS WHILE DRIVING WITH NO WARNING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY DEALER, AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. EVEN LEFT IT THERE FOR A FEW DAYS FOR THE HEAD MECHANIC TO DRIVE TO AND FROM WORK. (NATURALLY IT RAN LIKE A DREAM). THIS IS SUCH A NICE CAR I HATE TO GET RID OF IT. I HAVE BEEN TURNING A WRENCH FROM AS FAR BACK AS I CAN REMEMBER AND BECAME A JOURNEYMAN MECHANIC. BUT BECAUSE OF AN INJURY I RECIEVED IN NAM I HAD TO GIVE IT UP ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. IT SEEMED LIKE I COULD REPAIR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING ON A CAR BACK THEN WITH A FEW WRENCHES A PAIR OF PLIERS A COUPLE OF SCREW DRIVERS AND MY POCKET KNIFE. NOW WITH THE NEWER AUTOMOBILES I FEEL LIKE A MORON IN AN ADVANCED TRIGGERNOMORETREE CLASS. WHEN THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE CAR CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE THING, SOMETHING IS SURELY SMELLIN IN DETROIT. P. S. "HOW BAD WAS THE PROBLEM" IS ACTUALLY CLOSER TO A 4 BUT BEINGS I'M A PASTOR I OPTED FOR 5.
