Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Bonneville Ssei V6

I've never had anything so bizarre happen to me with a vehicle. What would make my car die when sitting at a light. I put it in park to restart it. Nothing. Meanwhile it is still rolling/coasting in park. The engine isn't running but you can hear a reving sound getting higher as the car keeps rolling. Once I completely stop the car and put the emergency brake on to keep it from rolling it jerks really hard and goes into park. I am then able to restart the car. I would really love to hear what would cause this?

Bonneville LS 3.8L

The motor had been misfiring on #5 cylinder and has quit while driving and refused to start, so i replaced plugs and wires and #5 injector. These fixes had no effect on the way the car ran. I had the car taken in and they thought it was a bad computer due to all the codes it was spitting out. The computer was replaced and that still had no effect. The shop put in two extra days labor for free because they were confused as well. The checked everything from intake to electrical to valves, engine also has good compression, so they gave it back and told me to take it to a dealer service as their computers can read more in depth to the codes the car gives out. Any ideas would be great, would love to sell car but it isnt worth anything the way it is.
