This is the second time in a month and a half a a little more than 1,000 miles that I have had to put my 2007 G6 in the shop for faulty steering. The first time it happened, I was a little shy of 22k miles. My husband happened to take my car to work one day and when he came home, just as he pulled up to the house thank God, the steering locked. He could not budge the steering wheel. We had to have it towed to the dealer where they replaced the power steering assist motor and a body control module. These repairs were done on Aug 7. On Sept 26, I was leaving work, started up my car and surprise, surprise, no steering again. I now had to lose a 1/2 day of work and wages to get my car to the shop for the same

I drove my g6 out of town which took about 6 hours to gett here my car did fine on the way home my steering wheel began to shake and I could hardly turn the steering wheel. So I called the dealership to have them look at it and it was the powersteering torque. I can not believe this is no something that is covered under extended warranty, that's crazy as hell it going to cost me 687.00 to have it fixed. I am not understanding why this is not a recall it is a risk, and someone can get seriously hurt. If GM know it is a problem why not fix it. fools I bet I hold on to my paper work.
