My daughter called me crying, upset, and panicky. When she was picking up speed just after taking off from a traffic light, her driver's side airbag deployed. The force from it made her run off the road. Long story in short...I called Pontiac (GM) and was told that it would take 30 to 120 days to get someone to check it out!!! The people at GM were so uncaring, unconcerned, and in fact came across to me like this was no big deal!!! I guess because my daughter wasn't killed or seriously injured...there was no rush on their part to find out why this happened! I traded the car in just like it was because my daughter refused to drive it ever again, and I was not going to make payments on a car sitting in my driveway waiting on GM to fix it at their leisure. I thought that this was a major safety issue..but evidently not to GM! DAMN GM, I will not ever buy another GM product!!!!! I promise you this!!!
