The wiring harness connections aren't a big deal to replace, as long as your dealer or mechanic doesn't charge you an arm & a leg to "diagnose" the problem.

The contact owns a 2009 Pontiac G6. The contact stated that the brake lights failed to function properly and did not illuminate when the contact was applying the brakes. Instead, the brake lights would illuminate when the contact was not applying the brakes. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 14V252000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was not available.
