This is my 7th Toyota over the years. When I initially bought my Avalon in 2005, I kept asking the service technicians at the Toyota Dealer that the car seemed to be staying in a higher gear too long and taking too long to switch gears. The service techs kept telling me, it's just a "fast transmission" and that was how the car was suppose to run. 2 months ago, my car started shuddering in stop and go traffic when I try to accelerate. I took it into the dealer and they are telling me my transmission needs to be replaced. This is just wrong! I trusted the Toyota Service dealer. I'm calling Toyota and going to complain.
