It was rumored that Toyota had a recall on this hose failure but, though they have every bit of my contact information somehow they neglected to contact me. My engine hose had a pinhole in it and burst on the highway with no oil light warning. The cars engine lost all of its oil and now has a clatter when starting the engine until it's warm.. I have an extended warranty but need the dealership to test it as I may have ruined the motor at 55K.
