Since Toyota reported there was no problem with the car, my wife refuses to drive it. I was driving it to see if and when it accelerated again, and if it did I was aware of it, I never got too close to any cars while driving. The Caution light came on with some other symbol, and the lights dimmed. I pulled over to check the hood and when I opened It smoke was coming out, so I closed the hood and call 911. It never accelerated with me, I'm sure it will not do it again. I did see there have been several 2013 Avalons that had the same problem, on your web site... National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) didn't have any of the Toyota that had the same problem that your web site has reported. Maybe you should sent copies to NHTSA, so they can update their site to inform the public that a problem exist with Toyota accelerating by itself.

I understand since TOYOTA is the # 1 selling car in the USA, incidents with the accelerating of Toyota vehicle is minimized, so that sales are not affected. Apparently safety is not as important as sales with the NHTSA. I have had 3 Avalons and 2 Camrys so Toyota has been my favorite vehicle. I have had no problems with them, even the 2005 that caused the family of 4 death, that sued Toyota and won $10 million before a recall was initiated.

I will probably purchase another Toyota, they are very good vehicles. Have your viewers that own the 2013 Toyota Avalon to drive carefully and watch for warning lights on the dash and smoke coming from under the hood as a sign of possible fire.
