The body paint is in very poor condition. The hood has bubbles, rust spots and fading.

The body paint around the bumpers, vehicle windows and roof are faded, dull finish and defected.

The entire vehicle needs to be repainted.

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT TOYOTA AS A WHOLE IS AND HAS BEEN HAVING WIDESPREAD PROBLEMS WITH THE LONGEVITY OF THEIR PAINT AND CLEAR-COATS ON MANY OF THEIR VEHICLES. SO ALTHOUGH MECHANICALLY MOST OWNERS CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT WHAT TOYOTA HAS TO OFFER IN THIS AREA. THEN AS A VERY SUCCESSFUL GLOBAL AUTO MFGR., WHY WOULD TOYOTA ALLOW THE NUMBER OF OWNERS WITH OBVIOUS PAINT ISSUES THAT DEFINITELY AFFECTS THE OVERALL APPEARANCE OF THEIR PRODUCT AND CONTINUE TO LET THESE PROBLEMS GO UNRESOLVED. WHEN INEVITABLY THIS LACK OF RESPONSE WILL AFFECT POTENTIALLY REPEAT BUYERS TO POSSIBLY CONSIDER OTHER MFGRS. FOR THEIR NEXT VEHICLE PURCHASE. VERY DISSATISFIED IN TOYOTAS LACK OF RESPONSE TO THIS VERY OBVIOUS PROBLEM.

We took this to the most reputable body shop in town Brad's Auto Body. They analyzed the problem and determined that when we bought this car brand new that it was a re-paint and that there should not have been a clear coat failure based on the care this car was given. The cost to repaint this vehicle exceeds the value of the automobile because of an initial faulty paint job.

We believe this car should be factory re-painted as Brad's believes this vehicle was painted and then due to flaws, portions were re-painted probably at the dealership. We are not too happy and as we are looking at new vehicles, Toyota is not at the top of our list to put it mildly. .
