Back in April 2013 I was in a car accident where I hit a pole in the front driver side of my car. There was a good bit of damage to be fixed but I received a call after 3 weeks letting me know one of the service men went to take my car for a test drive and went off the road. Apparently my driver side rear axle had sheared in half. Till this day no one can tell us why or how this happened. My car was investigated and repaired over a course of 3 additional weeks. The service techs were baffled and said they had not seen anything like this before. Best of all they told me it would not be covered under warranty so they happened to be buddy buddy with my Nationwide adjuster and tacked it onto my accident claim (which all agree this issue was not related to my accident). However, I got my car back 6 weeks after the accident and was told all is fixed and no safety issues for me or my family.
I brought my car back yesterday December 12th due to a very loud humming noise from my car when I accelerate or have my cruise control set, as well as, a horrible gasoline smell coming from my car when shut off. They still have my car and have let me know that they need to replace the carrier assembly to the differential. I am very concerned about this because nobody can answer why this is happening to my car and nobody wants to point fingers. I am only writing this because I have a 17 month old son that is in the car with me everyday and do not feel safe.
