Highlander SE 3.5L V6

My 2019 Highlander SE (purchased 2 weeks ago, new) started at 250 miles or so to have a high idle rpms when brakes are applied at stop signs, red lights and slowing to make turns. The vehicle lurches forward when releasing the pedal from a stop. Pulling in the garage is not fun. Backing up has the same issue.

Around town, this issue/problem makes driving the Highlander unsafe and can be dangerous. You have to really keep your foot on the brake to keep the SUV from creeping forward or reverse. This happens whether the Stop Start nonsense is activated or not. The few times I drove in snow was a pain in the ass trying the slow down and stop. Toyota better get their crap together, as I see a of issues, problems and complaints with Toyota products.

I hope this issue can be fixed when I have the Toyota dealer in Endicott, NY. check it out. I hope I did not purchase a headache or lemon. I have not tried the NAV system yet (I see some complaints about the NAV in Toyotas) and when I do I hope the unit does not give me another pain in the butt... Speaking of butts, the seats are comfortable and just firm enough. Wind noise is present but not too bad so far... It's a Highlander, not a RX350, so you get what you pay for.

Update from Feb 13, 2020: Vehicle still lurches when put in gear but only for the first 3 or 4 minutes, whether cold or warm. After 5 minutes or so, the lurching stops (from a stop sign/red light) and the RPM are at 700+/-. Will get it to the selling dealer soon. On another note...The headlights suck, really really suck. Very dangerous on unlit roads, especially in UPSTATE NY with deer all over the place. These car companies have to start putting better and brighter and stronger headlights on the vehicles. Force them into action.
