This car goes through headlights like nothing I've ever seen - the average is 3 months. Doesn't matter what brand, etc. - none of them last. I have an older Honda CRV that uses the same bulbs (9003), and it goes years. Am I the only one with this problem?

Haven't seen too many Highlander complaints about this headlight problem, but I've changed it 3 times within the last year. According to http://www.kctv5.com/story/18609018/kctv5-investigates-prius-headlight-problems, they targeted the Prius, but mentioned: "If you look at a car that's been on the road for six or seven years as these vehicles now have, the likelihood that both are going out has significantly increased," Ditlow said. This leads me to believe my 7 year old Highlander is going to continue having headlight issues, whether it be one at a time or both at once.

My research suggests other Toyotas have the same problem: Tacoma, Tundra, FJ Cruiser, etc. Someone mentioned it being the drivers side that always goes out. This time, for me, it is driver side. Another thread suggested checking voltage going to the bulb, but the inconsistency suggests the voltage isn't the problem. None of the complaint threads seem to be resolved besides just keeping extra bulbs on hand.
