This is damn dangerous. The car will choose to surge ahead of speed with no acceleration on my part at all. I apply the brakes to slow it down but by then the gas engine is in a constant revving mode. The car will only get up to 55 MPH and is very very slow to get up to the speed of other traffic. Merging is dangerous.

I have to pull over safely, open the hatch, disconnect the 12 V battery for 30 seconds, get in the car, then hold finger on the start button simultaneously holding my foot on the brakes for 45 seconds just to start the car. But it will still go into the same thing again and again and I only drive a few miles to work and back. I really can't use the car for anything unless it is for less than 5 miles.

My dealership, where I bought the car will not help me. They insist the fixes are all huge undertakings and expensive, when I see possible solutions online and youtube

I have already replaced the Hybrid battery.

A road hazard damaged some wires over the right front tire and Toyota dealer told me this will cost 3,500.00. Really???.

Update from May 19, 2019: I believe that this is also a sensor issue with the car. Many lights on the dash will go away after the reset of the 12 volt but then come on again when the sensors go off.

Not fair that a sensor can "Hobble my Car"
