Brakes are not working properly, pull up to stop light and pedal can go all the way to floor. there are multipul warning lights. Toyota dealer says becase I have 153,00 miles they wont repair, even though Toyota knows there is a problem

I was driving home from work on 10/14/22. The traffic was moving very slowly because there was a wreck ahead and emergency crews were on the scene. I was having to break often while moving at a slow speed. All of the sudden multiple dash warning lights came on the vehicle and the vehicle no longer responded to my breaking in a normal manner. I pulled off of the hwy and drove to my local dealership on a side road at a slower than normal speed. I told the dealership to check my car for the recall I remember getting in the mail a while back that mentioned the car trouble I was experiencing. I was told that the recall did not apply to me because my car was over 150,000 miles. The local dealership indicated they could not assist me with having Toyota honoring the recall past the specified mileage. I contacted the national Toyota number and was told the problem was included in a "customer support program" not an actual recall from Toyota and that Toyota would not pay to fix my vehicle since it was over 150,000 miles. I see that some people have filed a class action lawsuit against Toyota in this matter. I was told the Brake Booster needed to be replaced and also a break pump assembly would be required with an estimated cost of $2,500. The car is not safe to drive as it is right now. Toyota is aware of the problem and I guess put the "support program" in place to try and get around a forced government recall and also in turn put a cap on the mileage out of the reach of many vehicle owners. I would like the government to make Toyota actually recall the vehicles that have this problem and pay to fix my vehicle with this issue.

The brakes failed while I was driving. I had received a "Voluntary Customer Support Program" notice several months before this happened. I called the dealership right away and they told me not to worry about it and to put the notice in my owners manual. After the brakes failed, I had it towed in to the dealership and they determined that it was an issue that would be paid for by Toyota. Now my car has been in the dealership for almost 2 months and the part is still not available. They have no estimated time to expect the part. I have a loaner, which they would not give me at first until I complained to the Toyota customer service number. My loaner is a large SUV, which is a gas guzzler and is much bigger than I am used to. I just want my old Prius V back. Repaired.

Rattle type of noise can hear and feel from driver's side in front suspension area while driving lower speed and when push brake and stop. Most of noise happened when push brake to stop and slowly start driving / moving vehicle again. Thought noise is from suspension but after being full inspection on vehicle, mechanics believe it's noise from " hybrid system power inverter ". search recall states on nhsta web and found recall is " incomplete ". so am planing to bring it and ask at Toyota dealer in culver city ca where I originally purchased vehicle for repair / replace inverter. It supposed to be perform as free of service.

Did an oil change to the car on 9/14/18. Driving to key largo Saturday 9/15/18 morning and while driving (almost there) when the ABS, anti skid, system failure lights came on. Took it to the Toyota and the service manager had it scanned for the codes. Came back as brake actuator failure and they told me the car was not safe to drive because the brakes failed. Same exact thing that happened to my 2012 prius which I had to pay to get fixed. This time I was told by the assistant service manager that Toyota seems to be aware there's an issue so they would probably cover the cost of the part $3500 but I'm responsible for the labor which they quoted at $1500!!! something is clearly wrong. I don't think I should have been responsible for the money paid to get the 2012 fixed nor should I have to pay for the 2014 now. My car is at the Toyota until I can come up with the money...sounds like a class action lawsuit !! also, interestingly enough, both my 2012 and 2014 were roughly at the same mileage when this part failed.

The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Prius V. while driving approximately 20 mph and approaching a stop, the brake pedal pressure released when the pedal was depressed. The vehicle surged forward. The contact had to release and reapply the brakes in order to stop the vehicle. The failure occurred at least twelve other times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 27,000. The consumer stated the failure moreso relates to a braking failure rather than sudden unintended acceleration. The "surge" that was felt was releasing of the brakes and an abrupt halting of the driver's commanded deceleration. The brake pedal had to be depressed to the floor or released entirely and depressed again.

I experienced sudden but momentary braking when traveling at high speed (> 50 mph) while either entering ro exiting hwy. This occurred twice in last two mons. I drove my car to closest dealership the 2nd time this happened (Nov. 21, 2105; waldorf md Toyota), who told me they received an email (but no recall) from Toyota corporate about this issue. Dealership could not detect the problem or reproduce it so, as instructed by dealership, I called Toyota corporate Nov. 23, 2015 to get case number assigned. At one point, Toyota representative demanded "what do you want from Toyota?" case was 'escalated' but no case worker was assigned until Nov. 30, 2015. Toyota corporate stated that the technician had to reproduce the problem and if they cannot, there was no problem and dealership would return my car to me without repair. The dealership protested and said they ot required to reproduce the problem as it was an episodic and rare event. Further, they would not return my car to me until the problem was fixed because it was a safety issue. Waldorf Toyota still has my car (over two weeks now as today is Dec. 9, 2015). They have not received any further guidance but are waiting for the field technical specialist to examine the car. I finally received a call from customer relations at the regional office (central atlantic Toyota) to authorize access to the edr (electronic data recorder). This means over two weeks have passed before even the first step was taken by Toyota to diagnose the problem.

We were in stop and go traffic on the highway for just over a half hour with my two young children in the car. Speeds below 10 miles per hour. At the time of incident, we were traveling between 5-7 mph. Tried coming to a stop with about 10 feet between our car and a big rig in front. The brakes wouldn't egange. Repeatedly stomped on the brake pedal between 5 to 10 times. Car break would not engage and we rolled into big rig bumper. This gave us a chance to power down the car with the push/start button.
