Got a flat on the side of the highway (fun right) inside one of the many mix masters of Houston. Pulled over, got the factory supplied jack out, put it in place and started to use the extremely well designed (being sarcastic here) 3 piece handle system to hook to the loop of the piston jack. Well I started to twist the loop in order to lift the car. The loop on the jack broke in half. That's the end of the jack! No loop for the hook to secure to and that jack isn't going to be twisted in any way for it to lift the car. Definitely don't have the finger strength to twist it myself.
Tow truck, a billion dollar charge for that, then actually having to pay someone to change a flat, another billion dollars (might as well have been that much as ridiculous as the whole situation was).
Never liked the factory supplied jacks that come with cars to begin with but at least they accomplished what they were intended to do, no matter how much of a pain they were. This one simply just snapped off.
Seems to be a reoccurring thing on my SUV with things just snapping off.
