Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Sequoia. While undergoing an annual safety inspection, it was discovered that the vehicle's frame was rusted out. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 145,000.

The contact owns a 2004 Toyota Sequoia. The contact heard about an air bag recall that potently affected his vehicle. The contact brought the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that that recall was not affected by the air bag recall; however, it was included in an in-house recall (C0D) resistant compound to the vehicle's frame. The contact inspected the vehicle and determined that the entire frame was corroded and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The recall numbers were unavailable. The failure mileage was 175,000.
