Out of the blue the truck first started to vibrate, then loud rattle under acceleration, then constant rattle, then CEL, first steady then blinking. Got it towed home and pulled the OBD code: got P0305 (misfire in 5th cylinder). The ignition coil and spark plug well on 5th cylinder are covered in dark soot. The spark plug came out after 1/2 turn of the socket by hand - there is practically no thread left in the head. The truck has original spark plugs (they are not supposed to be changed until 120K miles on this model). Unfortunately the truck is out of warranty at 90K miles. This looks like manufacture/assembly defect to me - these things are not supposed to happen.
