I took my 2006 Sienna in for a voluntary recall for possible corrosion of the cable which supports and suspends my spare tire under the frame. The dealer removed the cable, tossed the spare tire in my rear storage area and said Toyota had not come up with a solution to the problem yet. Sometime later this year, November or December they would "probably" call me!!! In the meantime this dirty tire floats around in my trunk space making it unusable for regular storage and transportation of luggage, shopping bags or groceries. I suggested that they just install a new cable and remount the tire but that was impossible, I was told. So as of now, the solution remains a "NO SOLUTION" THANKS A LOT, TOYOTA
