Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

problem #2

Driving up driveway and closing rear window when the window exploded into thousands of pieces sending glass in every direction. Had a passenger been in the rear seat injuries would have been likely in my opinion. My concern is if this happens when someone has a child in the rear sear. The end result was small fragments of glass over the entire third row seating area.

Sienna 6-cyl

Driving approx. 45 miles per hour in the city and suddenly the passenger side rear back window (vent widow) shattered. First a very loud noise and then the glass shattered and went everywhere. There was no visible damage nor did there seem to be any external debris that could have hit the window. The road was rather smooth. Not sure if this is a common problem for windows or the 2011 Toyota Sienna.
