From new, it has always been there. When stopped and A/C is on, the engine jumps up in rpm, approx 150 rpm and then when the compressor shuts off its goes back down to normal. When you have the brake on and the rpm comes up, the vehicle jumps ahead. You have to be paying attn all the time. I have talked to dealer, Sunrise Toyota, Abbotsford and they say its normal, they all do it. I have phoned Toyota Canada and they say that there are lots of complaints but no fix. Please all Tacoma owners! BE AWARE that your vehicle may jump ahead when A/C is on and hold your brakes down hard.
