Radio started coming on without me turning it on. Happened a few times then it starting turning off without me turning it off. Getting more frequent. Currently happens about once every trip. Just minor annoyance if doesn't keep getting much worse.

Toyota in Crystal Lake, IL told me they couldn't do anything about this problem unless it happened while the truck was in the shop. Some days the problem happens several times, other days it won't happen at all, so I can never be sure when to take it in for service. Since the truck is just about out of warranty, it looks like I'll be stuck paying for a new radio myself. You can bet it won't be a Toyota radio!

I haven't had this issue fixed either because every single person I have talked to who has had their radio replaced - That seems to be the Toyota fix here - STILL HAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE NEW RADIO.

The radio turns off and on by itself like their is a poltergeist in the vehicle. Not COOL.
