window trim is falling apart/melting window trim is falling apart/melting window trim is falling apart/melting window trim is falling apart/melting window trim is falling apart/melting window trim is falling apart/melting

Brought to the Toyota dealership 18 mos. ago they said $800 per window to replace the window scrappers/trim, since then it’s gotten extremely worse. Brought back to a different Toyota dealership in our area 3 weeks ago they said $500 per window. The service guy said he's never seen this on any car of any make. This is a very extremely strange event that the rubber would breakdown and melt away. Yes the car is over the 3 years, 36,000 mile warranty but come on, outside a defect with the rubber why would this occur? We live in northern California it’s not like the heat of Phoenix, AZ of 110+ degrees, Vehicles are made to withstand the elements.

We are asking that Toyota cover the costs of replacement before the elements ruin the inside of the doors.
