When you get hit by a rock it always has to get the pulley fixed. had one done in April and it cost $1540.00.

Now I have another one to get fixed this week.

One day I went to roll down the rear passenger window and nothing happens. All three other windows work fine. No sound from the motor, no window wiggles, nothing. At this point I can only surmise that the failure is the window regulator defect mentioned on many forums in regards to previous model years. I suspect this will be covered under warrantee but it's a hassle for us to drive to the a different city and wait around all afternoon while the dealer shop finally gets to it. If the window suddenly falls I'll post another complaint but this seems electrical due to the lack of any motor noise. I even squeezed the window from opposite sides and wiggled it up/down to feel if the mechanism was still firmly holding the window in place, seems to be. I'm just fortunate that the failure happened with the window in the up position now that the rainy season has arrived.

Update from Nov 6, 2012: Found a solution to my window problem. It appears that the computer controlling windows cracked up and got stuck in a non-functional / lockup state. Since it was evening when I pulled into my driveway and shut off the the car, I wanted to see if the switch in the back door was illuminated with the lights on. I opened the driver door but didn't feel like listening to the ding, ding so I pulled the key out of the ignition, left the driver door open, opened the driver side back door and saw the window switch was in fact illuminated (door had connectivity at some level still). Then I had the urge to attempt to roll down the window so I pressed the switch. The window budged!!! It went down about 1/4 inch but then stopped. Keep in mind here that it shouldn't have done anything because I had the key out and the doors open. Somehow this kicked the computer out of the lockup state. Next thought was great, I hope I can roll it back up now; it is the rainy season after all. Put the key back in the ignition, turned to on, window works fine now.

I'm fairly certain now that disconnecting the battery would have the same overall effect but I'm just happy my window works again and I don't have to drive 90mi to the nearest dealer.
