A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

My Jetta has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I bought it brand new. Never had any issues other than the fuel tank flapper. My car has never had engine light on, any lights other than low tire warning.

Then "THE FIX" was required thru the vw lawsuit on the emissions. So then I had to take my perfect car in to be altered so they call THE FIX! Soon after the FIX, my tailpipe started turning pitch black along with the black soot all over my beautiful WHITE car. My car has never ran the same since.

Well, 2 weeks ago my check engine light came on, so I take it straight to the VW dealership to find out what the issue was. Indeed it was due to THE FIX, the EGR, this that and the other SO THEY FIX IT AGAIN! Less than 24 hours later and less than 100 miles, I'm driving down 2 lane rd speed limit 70 mph when all of a sudden my CAR STARTS ACTING CRAZY. I HEAR A SNAP, THE GAUGES ARE GOING CRAZY IT SLAMS DOWN INTO FIRST GEAR, AND NEVER SHIFTED FROM THEN ON. I have never been so scared in all my life as for this to have happened in traffic I would have caused a very serious accident.

I called the dealership in which they sent the tow truck to pickup the vehicle. Needless to say MY PERFECT CAR NOW NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION!

How can something like this happen overnight? The car never had ANY ISSUES WITH STALLING, SHIFTING, DRIVING - ANYTHING!

IT WAS MY PERFECT MOST RELIABLE VEHICLE!!!

Jetta GLI 30 Year Annversary 2.0t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 44,429 miles

Got the car through Military Auto Sales, military stationed in Germany. They brought it over we got it with 20 miles on it. In early April the car would rev up the rpms when stopped, like I was pushing gas at same time as brake. Then it died, wouldn't go in reverse.

Had it towed to dealership they said they fixed it cleaned injectors they were dirty, took a week and half got rental through extended warranty. Took home 3 days later it did it again. Took back got another rental, they kept another week and then said they replaced something between gas and engine. Got car drove five miles same thing. Took back and had to fight to get another rental as they said two was the limit.

Now they still go my car and extended warranty said if not fixed by tomorrow (been a week and a half) I have to give rental back. So as you can see this has been a pain, my husband is AD and not here this is my only car and they can't figure out the issue. But how is it my problem I paid a lot of money for a lemon. -.- Not sure what to do the dealership said it may be software. In the mean time extend warranty doesn't want to help and dealership has no clue what is going on.
