Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Front sunroof glass (the portion that moves when the glass is opened) spontaneously shattered. This occurred while driving at ~70mph on a smooth highway in minimal traffic; clear weather, roughly 60 degrees F. I did not pass under any overpasses immediately preceding this event. I normally leave the sun shade back and did not notice any cracks. As I was driving, I heard a very loud noise and immediately glass started falling on me and throughout the cabin. I slowed and exited the interstate, pulled into a safe area and immediately took pictures and called my insurance. The remaining glass appears to be bowed upwards.
