My car was towed to a dealer and it took a week for them to look at it and another week and a half to fix it.

Was driving car and it lost all ability to shift into gear. Car will still go into reverse, but not in any forward driving gears. Sent to dealership and told repair consisted of a total transmission replacement for a repair cost of approximately $4300. Since vehicle was no longer under warranty, I contacted some other transmission specialist. Transmission was able to be repaired for the cost of $3600. I contacted VW about this issue. They refused any assistance and denied any responsibility.
