I was driving my 08 Rabbit with heated seats on. I first smelt some burning, then felt a sharp pain in my back. My seat had burnt through the seat fabric, my coat and down to bare skin. The result being I now have a deformed seat back on one side and a toxic smell in the car. I now have to finish my drive home burnt, with Windows down and its -3 outside. If I'm lucky I'll get frost bite too!
07 seats have an existing recall, 08 do not!
