Nice that there is a place to type:

1/07/13 1st time fuse box melted together. Yes, I said 1st time. Car had to be towed to dealer NO LIGHTS Dealer told me they replaced melted fuse box. I was without car for 2 days.

Paper work from dealer states from mechanic this was done to car: " Right Headlight INOP. I Found SB16 Fuse Melted In Left Enigne Compartment E Box E. Box Will Need To Be Replaced. R & I Battery. R & I Left Engine Compartment Electrical Box And Replace. Replaced Fuses SB16 And SB17 Vender - Amp "

I had car back until 1/15/2013 Yes it went back to the dealer - this time. Customer states the vehicle is hesitating to accelerate. It judders when gas pedal is pushed. Has happened when vehicle is in reverse as well. Dealer via mechanic what was done to fix problem: "44T886 Hesitates at times, Failure to Respond to Throttle. Performed guided Fault. Finding. Time on GFF-46. Had Fault P0087, Fuelrail/System Pressure Too LOW. I Checked The Low and High Side Fuel Pressures Both With Cold and Fully Warmed Enigne. I Called Tech Line (Acess Code 1038790) and He Said The Low Side Pressures Are A Little Low to Replace The Fuel Transfer Pump In the Tank Along with The Control Module For The Pump. Ordered 1/08/13. R & I Rear Seat. R & I Fuel Delivery Pump in The Fuel Tank and replaced. Vender - T5. R & I Fuel Pump Control Module and Replace. Vender - KKE. Test Drove. Running Fine No Faults. Returned"

Fast forward - In again to Replace Front Head light bulbs 9/18/13 Fast forward 2/19/2014 I call Naperville VW Dealer why? Here we go again!!!!

Dash board lite up like it was Christmas ... Front right high beam out, Lic. plate light out, left low beam out, left turn signal out, Left Back brake light out , Front left high beam out, Radio malfunction shut down over heating may ruin unit, Right turn signal out, Right back up light out, Right Brake light out Left running light out...... Ect..... Are you getting the picture? To get told by service dept. at Naperville VW that in Jan. of this year (2014) VW did a Major recall on Tiguan 2009- 2011 for bad fuse box..... OK! BUT, I had mine on my 2010 REPLACED ALREADY???? to be told that VW must have updated it with a better part. Not to drive the car in the dark or to Naperville as its too far away do to the issues going on ( I am in Mich an hour and 1/2 away) GREAT!!

I forgot the rear view mirror fell off (2 seperate times 10 months apart after it was glued back the 1st time) in my lap while driving - July 2013 the most recent time it was glued back on.

Oh and the brake module and emergency brake module were replaced. Brakes were malfunctioning that was in 2012. That paper work is in a file I can not get to at this time.

Guessing I am having it towed again! Nice car - when it works!!

Defective fuse box that melted/burnt. This was not a result of normal wear and tear. This is a basic design flaw by Volkswagen. After filing a complaint with Volkswagen, I was issued a $200 credit voucher toward further work. There have been numerous complaints raised on this issue with no changes.
