I too have the same problem with my 2016 Spark LS but guess what? I live in another country!!! lol I do know where Lancaster is.. I lived there for 3 months in about 2003 on vacation. Anyway, I have had my Spark for 2 years- hence its now 2018. My spark has been hesitating when slowing down to take off again or it pauses or bunny hops -similar to gas not getting through to acceleration.. or it just stops then takes off really fast. It's stupid. Our road rules are obviously different to yours but the car still does the same thing. My Spark is worse at " Round A Bouts" These are circular (round) concrete islands that are smack in the middle of an intersection instead of traffic lights. When we approach a round a bout we are to give way (yield) or even stop to let the drivers approaching from our right hand side go first then we can carry on driving straight through. If I went straight ahead at a round a bout and a car was approaching from my right hand side and I didn't yield or giveway there could be a hell of a crash into my drivers door and I will be to blame because I pulled out in front of that car.

My Spark it really bad at these round a bouts. It hesitates when I go from stop or when I slow down to go forward again. It should NOT be doing that. It can cause a serious accident. I have told the car dealership about it.. and they have done many many tests on my Spark. The last one was when the manager said that the car company wanted to see what my DRIVING was like !!! Omg ! what a load of crap. My Spark has been doing this from the time I bought it !!! as of recently I had been told from the service manager that their parent company don't want to take this issue further. However, as a consumer we have rights here and therefore after seeing what you have typed I will be taking this further to one of our Government departments who handle vehicle disputes.

I have also found another person who lives in my country but in another city from me test drives cars and he test drove the Spark.. He found that the Spark LT (the top model of the 2 sparks) had a 3 SECOND DELAY before it actually moved.. he went on to say this.. " it could be just our car " well hell no.. its not just his car.. its my car and others out there with the same problem. My god, this is happening in two countries I have found on line.. how many other countries have the same issue? I think the sparks are made in South Korea and car companies like Chevy and others around the world buy the cars and sell them to their citizens. The car companies who sell us the sparks don't want to do anything about the CVT transmission hesitation issue. It may be because it could be a huge recall of the vehicles. Best of luck to anyone who reads this. I hope there is some government department or automobile department you can go to solve this issue. good luck on that !!

Still on going. Cvt transmission is stuffed. The company doesn't want to know about it, or so I was told.

Update from Aug 10, 2022: All done and dusted.
