- 2026 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid: sirius xm radio (1 complaints) So in using the Sirius XM radio, upon delivery, it was having issues whereas reception was spotty. I would notice that at certain times (often) I would get a song playing in fast forward and skipping around, really odd. I found in the menu that there was an option to turn off tune start meaning as you changed xm channels, it would always start with a song, vs. starting wherever the live broadcast was happening. - 2018 Dodge Charger: door panel raining away from door (5 complaints) The drivers side door panel came away from the door, the car is stored inside a garage and is barely driven, only has 10k miles on it when this occurred. read more »
- 2022 Chevrolet Silverado: loss of ecm power (2 complaints) No start, digital dashboard goes black. loss of ECM power. I get in the vehicle and try to start the truck by push to start. The dash lights up and the dash goes black. The Infotainment Center continues to function and the radio plays. The start push button is illuminated green, but the dash is still black. - 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe: rotors bad (1 complaints) At 7,400 miles all 4 rotors were bad and Hyundai would not replace them even though I requested them to be replaced. They said their policy was that they needed machined first. I explained I know that makes the rotors thinner and that it won't last but they would not replace. They machined all 4 rotors with no documentation of thickness of the rotors after the machining. At 22,000 miles brake rotors are now shot again and can not be machined so they want me to pay to replace all 4, even though I told them it was a ... read more »
- 2015 Jeep Wrangler: oil cooler/filter housing cracking (3 complaints) Oil filter housing leak. oil ran down the back of the block and was dripping on the exhaust pipe. Stopped driving the vehicle until I could locate a replacement. Finally found a replacement in Dallas on Ebay. the vehicle was down for 3 weeks waiting to locate a replacement. - 2014 Honda CR-V: bad vtc acuator (5 complaints) My 2014 Honda CRV has 89,000 miles on it and has been well maintained and garaged since I purchased it new. I also own 2 other Japanese cars (1971 Datsun 240Z, 2002 Toyota Rav4) each bought new and now have over 200,000 miles on each of them which I also keep well maintained. Both of those vehicles have engines with timing chains and have never had issues. - 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500: brittle plastic components make maintenance difficult (1 complaints) I have broken bits all over the car from trying to open plastic covers to get to screws, now I have a bunch of missing plastic with exposed screws and loose plastic that falls out because on side of the plastic covers are broken. Plastic under the back seat is just sitting there because I can't figure out how to reassemble the puzzle and can't find an explanation video. - 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500: no key fob support (1 complaints) Got one key with the car but it didn't work the remote unlock, alarm, or anything. Had to just use the physical key. I took it to a mechanic to try to fix it and he lost the key which is a switch key integrated FOB. Mercedes decided to not support this FOB anymore and provided no alternate solution. All I could get from Mercedes was one physical key only. Now if I lose this one I will have to go back to the dealership to get another one. - 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500: bas esp light on (1 complaints) Only dash light on is the BAS ESP light. Fix looks like it will be expensive but the car drives OK without fixing. I don't think the car is worth the cost of fixing a dash light. I will just consider it tactical lighting so night vision isn't disrupted. read more »
- 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML500: leaking sunroof (1 complaints) Probably every W163 ever made that isn't in the dessert has this problem. The design for the sunroof drainage has a 90 degree bend in it behind the fender with a restricting nipple at the end. You have to go into the fender and splice in a new longer line, pull the grommet and 90 degree bend and put in a longer line with a reduced bend in it. Hoping this fixes the blockage and stops the leak causing both sides of the front seat rugs to be waterlogged every time it rains. The car smells moldy and disgusting. I ... read more »
- 2022 Buick Encore GX: p0128 slow warm up - engine not reach operating temperature (1 complaints) This is major. This is one of the top problems with 1.3L engine. Engine too small to put out the BTU's in cold weather. My opinion. First, fault engine code P0128 Slow to Warm up covered under GM Bulletin 20-NA-024 February 2024. Normal operating engine temperature should be 3 - 4 dots (195 - 215 degrees) on dash temperature gauge. Below 32 degrees outside the car could only get 2 dots (150 - 170). - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: paint chipping (14 complaints) I called many times to GM about this paint peeling and flaking off. They told me that it was out of warranty, I asked what does a warranty that covers a poorly prepared truck then painted and then sold. They knew about this paint issue and did nothing about it. I don't think GM knows how to make a paint job last longer than 3 years unless it was their plan all along to get us tired of the paint falling off our vehicles and maybe they just figured that we would buy another. - 2022 Chevrolet Silverado: check engine light on; report of an emissions failure (1 complaints) Computer module was purportedly covered under 3 separate manufacturers’ warranties. Service manager told me SPECIFICALLY that the computer module malfunction “fried” the wiring harness; yet they did NOT cover the wiring harness under warranty, only the computer module and! - 2016 Toyota Sienna: traction control off warning light- engine (1 complaints) See my other complaint about the same vehicle. 2016 Toyota Sienna, started out with 39,000 miles. Now up to 50,000 miles, but had the same problem since we bought it. Traction Control Off warning and Check Engine Light keeps coming on. - 2016 Toyota Sienna: engine light-control traction off (1 complaints) Purchased this 2016 Toyota Sienna from Florida with less than 37,000 miles. Verified by Car Max as in good condition. Within 4 months of purchase, the engine light and Traction Control light came on. Christian Brothers replaced the Ignition Cylinder coil, stating that it was leaking.
