- 2019 Toyota RAV4: liftgate motor failure (1 complaints) Liftgate motors often fail on this model Rav. Intermittent symptoms I experienced was the liftgate would start to open, beep loudly, then stop opening which required me to manually lift the liftgate. Also happened when closing. The liftgate motors retail for $300 each so for the last few years we ignored the issue. Recently the liftgate started closing crooked with large gaps on the top and one side. - 2017 Ford Fusion: coolant leak into the cylinders (13 complaints) Bought used on 11/05/18 from dealership with 43,912 miles. Saw the engine light on test drive and requested they check it out. Coolant intrusion into engine; full engine replacement. Skip forward to ~May 2025, 116,000 miles, engine light on and severely decreased power. DTC codes point to same issue (coolant in engine). Scoped each piston and found corrosion and coolant puddling. So engine only lasted 72,000 miles and less than 7 years?! - 2026 GMC Canyon: shifter sensor problem (1 complaints) Took a less than 6-month old vehicle in for two other issues, but was informed by the dealership the shifter was also bad, and needed to be replaced. I believe this to have been more an electrical issue, than a mechanical one. Nevertheless, it took four days just to get the part. I had to pay for a rental car, since I was not offered a loaner, probably because I was out of state, and over 700 mi. from home. I/we are just hoping the guy put everything back together properly. - 2021 Honda CR-V: sticking steering (3 complaints) Without warning, one evening the steering felt loose then it would tighten up. thought it might be LKAS acting up. Same thing next evening. LKAS was having difficulty maintaining control. Took car to to an independent Honda mechanic, said it was probably steering gearbox and would be $4600 to repair. He suggested going through Honda America customer service. Honda America require official diagnosis from a Honda dealership costing $250 up front (applied to final bill). - 2013 Kia Sorento: radio stopped working (3 complaints) While driving with radio playing, the display will change from radio stations to KIA sign. After a short time it will revert to normal display, This has happened several times lately. Incidently When shifting in to reverse from drive my safety camera will not display. - 2013 Kia Sorento: back up camera/ malfunction (1 complaints) Back up camera works some of the time. Often it will not come on when shifting into reverse from drive or park. When it is not working, my mirrors will tilt down as normal. But camera will not engage, I have tried several times shifting from reverse back to neutral back to reverse it still will not change. - 2025 Honda Ridgeline: leaking water inside evertime rains or wash car (1 complaints) I bought my first new car 61 years old was so proud. The technician completed the software update and the recall pre?check FAILED. - 2020 Honda CR-V: awd system problem alert (4 complaints) Very concerning to be driving and have a huge warning pop up on the screen: ALL WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM PROBLEM. Warning light would disappear after turning off the vehicle and waiting 60 seconds or so, but would illuminate again if I braked just a bit too hard (not panic stop). - 2022 Kia Carnival: seats in 2nd row retracts hard (1 complaints) The second-row seats on the left and right have a very high-powered spring forward lever. I have to tell anyone getting in the back to watch their head while moving the seat forward. Now I just have them let me move the seats so no one gets hurt. I got a very hard hit to the head with sunglasses on. It about knocked me out. This happened right after I got the car, probably the day or so after getting it. - 2026 Nissan Armada: water leak (1 complaints) I purchased a 2026 Nissan Armada Nismo on June 4, 2026 — a brand new vehicle with zero miles. Nine days later water was actively leaking into the passenger footwell during rain. I have video documentation of this defect. I dropped the vehicle off on June 13 (RO #108604). The service advisor initially told me they could not reproduce the issue. Four days later on June 17 they confirmed they did reproduce the leak and upgraded my loaner vehicle.
