Happens again after one drive if you don't clean its perfectly (atleast $100 of 4.99 brake cleaner) then it might still spin the bearings its better to just get a new engine or car.

Ranger Edge 4.0L

The engine pings at approx. 2500 rpms under load with any grade of gasoline. I'm growing tired of the noise and will take it in to see if I can get it repaired but have my doubts. It sounds like it might be an e-prom issue, not mechanical.
