2022 Subaru Ascent Owner Comments

problem #1

Oct 022023

Ascent Premium 2.4L T

  • CVT transmission
  • 32,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Horrible vibration in floor mat, foot rest, pedals, steering wheel, seats, and center console.

This vibration can be felt while car is stationary and at all driving speeds.

Causes severe pain in back, legs, and feet. Makes the car extremely painful to drive or ride in.

Subaru has had differing diagnoses from dealer to dealer.

One dealer charged me over $500 to replace an Axle, WHICH DID NOTHING!!!!

Another dealer said they didn't even notice the issue. RIDICULOUS!!!! They obviously did not drive the car for more than 5 minutes.

The car is only 2 years old and has had almost all highway miles. This is ridiculous for such a new car.

The same vibration has been felt in the Ascent loaner vehicles, but it is much less severe, as they only have a few thousand miles.

I have found posts online with people experiencing the same issue. They ultimately had to sell their car and get a new one.

Unfortunately doing that currently would cost me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!

So, I am trying all avenues including reporting the issue in numerous places online and with the BBB.

Subaru themselves values my car lower than 10 year old used cars are currently being sold for. They know this car is a piece of junk, but they tell consumers that its great.

This Ascent was designed and built as cheaply as possible. Subaru of America has been of no help.

I've wasted dozens of hours going to dealerships and over $1000 on BS repairs and gas costs. After all of that the car is still a hazard to the occupants. Shame on Subaru.

I took the vehicle to multiple 3rd party mechanics and they confirmed that it seems to be a drivetrain issue. They checked the tires, wheels and suspension and found no problems.

SUBARU OF AMERICA SAID THEY DO NOT CONSIDER THIRD PARTY OPINIONS WHATSOEVER.

So Subaru does not care about numerous CERTIFIED MECHANICS confirming the issue. THE ISSUE HAS TO BE CONFIRMED BY SUBARU.

HOW CONVENIENT!!!!!!!

Even though one dealer confirmed that the vibration is present, they refuse to diagnose or fix the problem.

As I am writing this, my legs and back are extremely sore. Even just a 30 minute drive becomes extremely painful.

I will never buy another Subaru product. I'm appalled at the shockingly cheap quality and the horrible customer service.

DO NOT BUY A SUBARU. DO NOT BUY AN ASCENT. YOU WILL REGRET IT!
