Bought this '22 Outlander AWD used earlier this year. We have loved everything about it - except that the back end bounces and jumps at the seemingly slightest object that juts up (seam in road with strip sticking up, manhole covers where far side is raised or has a lip, etc.). This happens at lower speeds, and is very noticable at highway speeds - particularly on any corner or curve. The best description that I have for this is like driving a dually-450 pickup empty at over 65mph - where the supension launches the rear. In the truck case, the speed sensor/limiter will do some funky stuff. In the case of the Outlander - it'll jump left or right and then back with this odd wiggle motion -- and that at 30mph +/- even!!!

Seems to be a fairly common problem as no one carries rear shocks for this year and model. Someone suggested it may be the sporty (thin rubber) tires. Maybe a combination -- but it has gotten to where my late teenaged kids say they don't like riding in it and don't feel safe.

It has done this since we bought it. At first, maybe it is the way it drives, etc. But this shouldn't be. I was driving in the first real snow a week or so ago - and it didn't feel like it was going to hold the road that well. Again, a very odd feeling.
