Attempted to update the Rlink software and maps using the R-LINK 2 toolbox and USB drive. On installation an error appeared and navigation app is just a constant loading ring. Also broke ability for Android Auto to give directions in the car. I suspect it tries to ask the Rlink software for control/feed directions into the display/car, but because the Nav app is broken, it fails. So no direction arrows appear in Rlink user interface or centre console when navigating from Android Auto, and because of this, Android will not give you directions either. So all you're left with is ability to look at Google map.
Local Renault service department couldn't re-build/re-install, suggesting replacing the whole radio.
