The passenger airbag turns off and on regardless if a person (adult) is sitting in the seat or not. This has been happening for about three months now. I contacted the dealer and they said that it was not a recall item nor would it be a safety issue. I feel that if I am in an accident and the air bag does not deploy that the passenger could be in imminent harm at the fault of GM. They will not replace the sensor unless there is a recall. This is a very common problem with several other vehicles as reported on multiple online vehicle owner forums. GM needs to do the right thing and protect their customers from faulty equipment.

The service air bag light stays illuminated on dash and the passenger air bag is off even if somebody is seating in the passenger seat. I have tried calling dealers, Saturn-GM but have gotten no help with the resolution of this defect. They say that it is a defective sensor but according to a lot of forums this is a well known issue and this should be a safety defect not just a recall. This technically could hurt or kill someone in an accident and they have known about this. If something happens while driving this vehicle I will take this as high as I can take it. This has been happening for at least 18 months.

I have a 2007 Saturn Outlook xr and my service airbag light remains on at all times and my passenger side airbag wont turn on no matter who sits in it or any position. I have seen a lot of complaints about this same issue and feel their should be a recall on the 2007 Saturn Outlook's.

At approximately 100,000 miles the service air bag light started to illuminate on the dashboard. Furthermore, the passenger airbag is always switched off regardless if there is someone in the passenger seat or not. Brought to dealer in June 2015 with mileage of 101,806. It is giving code B0081-of stating there is an internal fault in passenger presence sensor. Approximate cost to fix was around ~$1000. Declined fixing it at this time as I had already spent $2500 in other repairs. This is obviously an ongoing issue with many of these cars and is a huge safety concern....not just wear and tear. Please look into these airbag concerns.

I was struck causing an accident that completely damaged the right front and right side quarter panel. All components had to be replaced as they could not be repaired. No air bags deployed. My 89 year old mother who was a passenger in the front struck her head on the right window door. She would have hit the dash if she wasnt wearing a seat belt. I contacted GM and was told that my vehicle was not included in the recalls. The dealer charged me $97.47 to check it and found that the passenger presence module was bad and it would cost me $827+ for repair.

I was driving along and my dashboard went dark, you couldn't read the mileage, or any data that should show up in that window, the battery level showed lower then normal however stopped to have battery and alternator checked and both were working normally per mechanic. When stopped car and turned back on data was viewable, then airbag light came on - stayed on for about an 30 min. Then went back off. There was an issue with roof leaking - dealership had to repair and now I think this is linked to that issue. However, not sure if others are having this same issue and don't feel I should be held responsible for something that the dealer should have checked out prior to correcting leaking. Have there been any other owners with issues regarding this?

Passenger airbag will intermittently not enable with adults (>120 lbs) in front passenger seat. Prior recall for connector under seat was completed when issued. Dealer diagnosis of code for "passenger presence" module fail, with recommendation of replacement of passenger presence seat ass'Y at cost of $960 - not yet completed. Elevated to GM customer assistance. Appears to be a chronic, ~500 ppm issue on the 2007-2008 model years of the GM lambda platform (Saturn Outlook, GMC acadia, and Buick enclave). Research of NHTSA complaints against posted sales quantities shows that this issue continues into 2015 for the 2007-08 models, with virtually no issues for 2009 and newer model year vehicles....updated 09/28/15 updated 11/08/2017

My 2007 Saturn Outlook continuously leaks water from the roof every time it rains. The leaking water is not one drip here and there, but a gush of water will come out of these areas and will continue to leak while it is raining. The water will drain out of the headliner, the airbag areas, the light fixtures, the seat belt areas all in the front and back of the car and will also drench the passenger and driver side floor boards. This has caused my car to have a musty moldy smell to it. I find it very discerning that after you purchase a vehicle, it will have these safety issues such as water leaking. I understand that these things happen, but I am afraid that this will cause a shortage with the wiring systems in my vehicle thus causing even more damage. Since the water started leaking from the roof, I have had airbag issues and windshield wiper issues (it runs constantly). I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Bought this piece of crap car out of desperation from a pay as you go rip off car "dealership" who told me nothing about this cars faults and it's done nothing but bite me in the ass since then. Leaks like a stuck pig, causing water to pool at the floor mats, when its cole the inside of the windshield frosts. Headlights will both shut off while driving, battery died so I charged it then the radio went haywire. Opened up the battery terminal to find my battery was encased in ice due to the leaky sunroof, the battery was sparking and smoking. Windows won't go down all of a sudden. I can't wait to get rid of this car. Never again. So dangerous it's ridiculous.
