Vue 3.0L V6

It was intermittent at first then it would just stall, wait 5 mins, and start right back up. Then gradually it would shut down again, as the days went by it was shutting down within a 1/8 mile which is annoying coming home in rush hour traffic and stalling out every 2 min. At first I thought it might be a security issue as I put an aftermarket stereo in. Then replaced the camshaft sensor, replaced fuel rails, coils, pump, sending unit, almost went and bought a new pcm/bcm, ecm but on a whim decided to check crankshaft pos. sensor. Worst part was the only code thrown was an O2 sensor and cat conv. which had nothing to do with the vehicle starting. If this is happening to you just go to naa junkyard and grab a sensor, they're only a few dollars. If it fixes the issue there ya go and you are welcome. Either leave it in or buy a brand new one. I'm not saying it's what's wrong 100% of the time but hopefully it's helpful.

In a nutshell, I was traveling on the highway going 70 miles per hour and passing a car in the fast lane. With no warning it was like someone threw the Saturn Vue in PARK!!! The tires started screeching, smoking and skidding but I was able to control the truck to the emergency lane! By then all the lights were on but the truck cut off. After shaking for a few minutes and praying that a SEMI or any other vehicle was not behind me at the time, I may not be here today writing this letter!!!! That would have been more of a tragedy on my family because we had just buried our MOM.

I had just passed an exit so I had to get to the other side of the highway by illegally crossing the highway. Thank GOD the truck started up, but I was losing power every now and then so it took me a while to get across but first I also had to backup to get across! It was like I was playing CHICKEN with my LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I made it across to look for a service station on a Saturday. The truck gave TOTALLY out and I had to get the truck towed and paid a $100 for an diagnostic for them to tell me that I can't go anywhere because of the compression in the cylinder, I think one or two was at 0. So now I'm stranded with my Mom's things in the truck with very minimal money, I had been off from work for a few months with my Mom's surgery then DEATH! MY family had bought me a ticket to Dallas for Thanksgiving so I was under a time constraint because I had to get back to catch a flight by Monday morning.

Long story short I had to first find out where I was, leave the truck at the repair station, call someone to travel to pick me up and I ended catching the Greyhound to my FINAL destination so I can catch my FLIGHT! All the while wondering if someone was going to break in the truck with my Mom's belongings and I had to get the truck towed almost over 200 miles. I'M SPENT........
