My driver side air bag light goes on periodically. Random at first, now almost every time I'm in the car.

My passenger seat air bag light started to come on periodically, whether someone was in the passenger seat or not. At times it would go off, but for the past 30 days it stays on whether someone is in the seat or not. About the same time, we detected a "short" in the radio system, as at times you cannot change the station, and I have actually had the station change without touching any selector. I am concerned that this has to do with the ignition switch issue that has been detected in other models of Saturn, in particular.

For the past year I have been having a very difficult time inserting the key in the ignition and turning the key to turn on the car. Once I get the key in I have to jiggle it over and over until the key is able to turn. Sometimes it takes me anywhere from 5-15 minutes. However lately when the key is finally in it gets stuck and it does not allow the key to be released leaving me stranded. I also noticed the airbag sensor light turns on and off randomly while I am driving the car and while there is a passenger in the car. My biggest concern is if the airbag fails to deploy in case of an accident. Another concern of mine is that sometimes when I am driving the car it accelerates itself for a moment or two and it is very scary. I am currently unable to drive my car because I am scared, especially because I drive my 5 and 1 year old everyday. I am unable to get the car looked at this time due to financial reasons. My Saturn Vue is not included in the recall however I really wish it were because all of the problems I am experiencing are very similar to that of the GM vehicles that were recalled. Please investigate the Saturn Vue 2007 ignition problem, airbag light problem, and accelerating problem. Thank you so much.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel and would sporadically illuminate whenever the vehicle was being driven. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the passenger's seat module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 112,500.

I was driving in my subdivision and the curtain air bags went off in my 2007 Saturn Vue hybrid. I swerved and ran into a tree causing massive frontal damage and the driver-side air bag to deploy. My 3-year-old daughter was in the back passenger child car seat and was ok but I was diagnosed with chest, knee, hip, and nose contusions, still healing after 4+ days. The car was a total loss per allstate. I have no idea what caused the curtain air bags to go off but see on carcomplaints.com there are many airbag issues. Very mad and demand attention from GM since Saturn is defunct.

I bought this car in July 22, 2012 in city Kia in orlando( used car) with 37,299 miles on this day.2007 Saturn Vue. In March 2013 I took a ride from kissimmee to miami and when I came back home and got off the turnpike I heard a big sound under my car and it stared to slow down until it stopped completely in the middle of the street, I had it towed to a repair shop and they said it was the transmission, they fixed for $1,926. I also has some electrical problems, once in a while the radio goes randomly changing channels by itself and when I open or close the windows it sounds like it looses electricity, and also a leak from the air conditioner compressor is leaking a green fluid, also the airbag goes on sometimes but eventually turns off.

I was driving on the interstate (I90) near rockford il when all of the sudden my side curtain air bags deployed. There was no accident and the front air bags did not deploy. The seat belts locked up and the lights started flashing. This issue has not been resolved through GM. My insurance company says they wont fix it because it was not in an accident. GM has not been helpful at all. GM had an independent investigator out. The investigator said it was obvious it was not in an accident. GM has been very vague in its response. Only saying that they believe the air bag system is ok, "something must have made it go off".

The failure began when the wire used for the heated passenger's seat failed. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told that the heat element wire fractured and caused the failure. The dealer advised that the failure was common with his particular model that had the optionally heated seat. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 75,000. Updated 12/19/12 the consumer stated the failure was created because the passenger heat element in the seat cushion was an open circuit. Updated 1/9/2013

I purchased the used Vue it came with 12,000 or 12 months warranty we had it in the dealer many times, of course the air bag light wouldn't stay on. They told us they adjusted sensor code B0092. Every other when there was something wrong they replaced parts but not this air bag light. After the 12,000 warranty was up the air bag light stays on. I brought it the dealer where we purchased Saturn after a $99 bill,2 yrs later the light is on. Ever once and a while if you twist and the light will go off. We are going to give this car to our daughter who is having a baby. Will it be safe for a family car? thank you

I bought a 2007 Saturn Vue from a dealer as well and my air bag on the passenger side comes on a lot to. It is on when no one is sitting in it but turns off when someone does sit in it. No matter the size or weigh of that person sometimes it will say it is on sometimes it will say it has been turned off. Not sure if there is really anything wrong with the airbag or it is just a light telling you there is. On-star says that airbags are fine though. Little concerned if there is something wrong with the airbags because that is one heck of a lawsuit they will have on there hands if we are to ever get in an accent and the airbags did not deploy. If it was indeed a manufacturing issue and it seems to be the case here, it should be fixed for free and fast for safety reasons.

I bought a 2007 Saturn Vue from a dealer as a used vehicle. Shortly after, the airbag light started coming on. Sometimes it would go off and it has persisted to the point now that it doesn't go off at all. When the problem first occurred, I consulted the owners manual and found notes written in it by the previous owner about the same problem. It was indicated that it was fixed (sensor) but started again shortly after. Every month my on star reports indicate a problem which requires immediate attention. I had it seen at a GM dealer they want another $500 to fix it.

I too had problems with the key ignition as well as the passenger air bag light coming on. The key was fixed when I bought the car. Now my issues is with the windows randomly not working and passenger air bag on. My car window on the passengers side did not work for a year. It would work occasionally (when I tested the button) now the passengers side work, but the drivers side dose not. I was told by Saturn that they are unrelated issues. I can not understand that" my car is in the shop to have service done on it. The drivers side window needs to be fixed. At the cost of $265 just the driver side, and they said that their is no problem with pass. Side... I can see that the windows are an issues with this type on Saturn... and no one is addressing this issues. Their is definitely a problem with the air bag system as well as the window system. I love my car, but what I'm reading here seem to show me that the problems are real concerning my car. And the service center said that they not related? I have a big problem with that. Some one need to check in to the window and air bag problem. Their must be a site that people talk about these issues?" The passenger airbag light comes on intermittently regardless of speed, condition, or time of day. Seats have not been wet from spillage or abuse. This failure causes me concern because I don't know what is next. And, is the airbag going to activate.

My 2007 Saturn Vue all the time since I purchased it the passenger side deployment bag light will not work, unless I turn on the passenger heat, and the seat does not heat up, and I am still not sure it will work because it is an electrical problem, also my electric windows won't work on several occasions, and the ignition shift the key sticks and steering column locks when this happens, and it won't release the key. Dealer won't deal with it, wonder if there has been any other complaints because I do not feel safe especially when I have passengers, it cannot be trusted, not sure of any recalls, but it definitely needs to be looked into and fixed before anyone could get hurt.

Air bag light on dash illuminated if the heated seat is not toggled regularly from low to high. On permanently and does not recognize seat occupant if heated seat is left in the off position. Heated seat does not work even if in the low or high position.

I have two 2007 Saturn vehicles, a Vue and an ion the air bag light comes on periodically. I took the Vue to a dealer and they said the sensor was bad and wanted to charge about $500 to fix it. The ion has the same problem but I haven't taken it in to be checked. It looks to me like there is a problem with the 2007 Saturn and should be fixed by GM.
