the water pump "froze up" and burned a hole in the serpentine belt
The car had a different sound to it when running on city streets, but was fine on the high way. Then it just started smoking out the back and stalled. No warning lights. No check engine light. We were stranded in traffic during rush hour.
The mechanic said the water pump was put in a really difficult to reach place. That when it failed it burned through the serpentine belt.
The total cost of the repair:$1045
