componentsMany gripes and one compliment. Skoda Superb - A mechanical engineering feat of comfort and design - while it is NEW. Problems lie in the electrical design not the mechanical.

Electrics: 1.There is no division or to my knowledge a relay separating and pushing power to the lights and other electrical components. Impact: If and when one light blub goes the amount of power being forced around the vehicle is the same. Thereby there is an increase in Current being equally shared to all the remaining electrics. Thus when a couple of small globes are blown there is a high probability that other electrics will begin to fault due to higher than normal charge causing an overload. This eventually if not addressed will result in a catastrophic failure of the vehicles operation. In my case 4 light globs caused an inability to open the petrol cap. It is not an easy task to change a light glob.

2. The vehicle goes into an emergency travel mode when the battery falls below a certain charge level. Impact: The vehicle in emergency travel mode permits travel at low speed for a limited distance of less than 60km. This is unacceptable in a country like Australia where there are several hundreds of km's between towns or roadhouses and some times a 1000's of km's between Skoda dealers. This feature of shutting a vehicle down should not happen in isolated environments as the potential to cause death by dehydration to the unwary traveller is high.

3. I just paid over $1,000 to repair the vehicle with some stupid actuator. Only to have the same electrical systems fail yet again within 500km of the repair.

The vehicle is aged at 8yrs BUT with only 78k km on the clock it is not even broken in yet. Loser :(
