I have a Suzuki XL7 2007 keep making noise from the power steering like 2 plastic squce to eachother. I check my power steering fluid still looking full and I don't know why keep making noise from the power steering. I don't' know its going to safe to drive while making noise. Can some one do something about it because I hate it. I am going to trade for new car and not Suzuki car no more.

A couple of years ago when our XL7 was still under warranty neal Suzuki in fort worth, Texas, fixed the squeaky noise in our steering wheel by replacing the rack and pinion. Today, July 14, 2010, the noise is back and has been back for approximately two months. I haven't noticed any performance issues with the steering other than it has been more sensitive than normal at freeway speeds, 60 and above. The noise is most annoying especially while maneuvering through parking lots. My mother-in-law and my wife's co-worker have experienced the same problem with their Xl7S too. I called the service department and since my car is out of warranty I have to pay for the repair this time even though it's the same problem that I had before. What an outrage and rip-off! who's on the consumer's side? car corporations are to consumers as major league baseball umpires are to baseball teams and players. It seems they can do any thing wrong, make any bad call, without suffering any consequence, while the consumer has to pay the price and bre the burden.

2007 Suzuki XL7, this is the second time within 6 months that the steering gear needs to be replaced and now the part is on backorder (it has been on backorder for over a month now), I don't understand why this part is on backorder and now I'm driving the vehicle that needs repair. What other problems could driving this vehicle cause. Someone please look into this and find out why the steering gear is on back order and why is their a problem six months after a new part was put in by the dealer..

In 2007 we purchased a new 2007 XL7 Suzuki. It now has 14,000 miles and is falling apart. First the luggage rack came loose- never had used it- I fixed this my self. Next the vanity mirror on the sun visor broke off. Now the drivers side door handle has falling off. All of this and every couple of weeks the check engine light comes on for a few days then goes off- the gas cap is not loose ! for the cost this car retails for you think it would last more than 1 or 2 years.
