Car started playing up after 3 years from brand new. Cannot get car into 3rd gear at all. On contacting purchasing garage they have quoted large amounts of money just to look at car and purchased a new gear box if needed without even looking at it!! After some detective work from a nearby garage friend, we have found out that this is a major fault with Vauxhall Mokka cars and numerous cars have had to have gear boxes renewed or looked at due to a stupid fault. The manufacturers do not make gear boxes big enough to take appropriate amount of oil required to run cars adequately! Why are they not recalling these cars? Why are purchasers having to take back and pay grabbing garages astronomical amounts to get theses cars fixed when it is a manufacturing fault??

Needless to say I will be getting rid of ASAP. I will never buy another Vauxhall car!
