CarComplaints.com Seal Of This Might Hurt

CarComplaints.com Notes: Buying the first model year of any vehicle is rarely a good idea. You become a guinea pig for the automaker and they are really not nice to guinea pigs.

The 2008 Enclave has a wide enough range of problems to issue a warning. There's transmission failure under 90k miles, new power steering units costing over $1,300, and enough engine complaints to NHTSA to scare anyone away.

Enclave CXL 3.6L V6

At 30,349 miles this problem should not exist. Barker Buick did not plug-in the vacuum control solenoid after completing maintenance. It is a great inconvenience scheduling repairs, bringing in SUV, waiting for repairs, and returning to get SUV.

Enclave CXL 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,761 miles

May 9,2016 Barker Buick said the steering gear was working fine. Five months later I have to replace it. Quality SUV steering gear should last well over 100,000 miles. This one did not and I believe it is because of cheap components being made in China allowing GM to reap large profits by not standing behind defective equipment.
