Service stabilitator traction control is the message that I am getting on the dash. Then it flashes to Engine Power Reduced. This has just happened this week and I am trying to figure out what to do about it. The first time the message appeared on the dashboard, I was driving around in town. I thought that the car might die and I had someone check it out. I found out later that if I just wait awhile and restart it that it seems to be OK. The second time that the message came on was in the pouring down rain on the interstate. I put on my emergency flashing yellow lights and continued to drive until I made it home. I took the closer exit than I would normally take to get home so that I would not be on the interstate. I am still trying to figure out what to do about this situation.

A year before this issue we replaced the computer at a cost of $700. A year later same problem. Stabilitrack and traction control lights come on. Engine light flashes. Car misses and transmission shifts rough. This is random. Motor still has a lot of power. We have spent over $700 on this in the last 2 years trying to find the problem. Chevrolet wants $100 to diagnose. Then you have to repair right then or they will charge you $100 if you have to come back. We have replaced all kinds of things thinking it was fixed. Only to drive it a few miles and the same problems start again. Gas mileage is awful when this is going on. We love our car but this is getting truly ridiculous!
