Whenever I am driving and I turn left and the steering wheel is so hard to turn it seems as if it's stuck. I have come extremely close to hitting medians because the car just doesn't seem to want to turn. It only happens with left turns. The right seems to be okay. I don't feel safe driving my children knowing that the car doesn't operate properly. I checked recalls but there doesn't seem to be one. I have checked other forums and several 2013 Charger owners have experienced the same issue.

Alternator recall. Engine interiors lights flash while off, car intermittently will go off. Power steering not available. Chrysler mechanics would not look into my power steering issues. Told me my alternator is fine. I do not feel my alternator is fine and want it replaced. I do not feel safe driving with my children.

2013 Dodge SXT 3.5 AWD w/ 75K miles. Rubbing noise in the steering column when turning, thought it just needed to be lubed (had that done at a non fca service site a few years earlier) had it at the dealer a couple months ago and they said the steering column to rack joint was worn out and about to come apart and needed to be replaced. It was replaced at a cost of $2K if it had been left further, the dealership said the steering column would have been disconnected. If this had completely come apart, it would have resulted in inability to steer. This would have been interesting to say the least. Owned the car since new, not abused, raced or wrecked. Called fca, they said that the defective joint was not covered under warranty and they had no other complaints. They offered no assistance and said that since it had been paid, they would not assist. Has anyone else seen this? wonder if there is a class action, a recall or I just got a defective part

My issue with the vehicle is the rack and pinion locking up on me when I turn left. I took it into Dodge and they didn't want to do anything with it because the problem wasn't happening at the time that it was brought into the shop, this was when I had warranty that I paid extra for and everything. After it got worse, I lost control of it making a left and I hit a curb, which caused me to have to get a new tire. As I am driving to class or work, I go to make my regular left and my car keeps locking up as I turn so I have to force it out of the left turn. I would get the problem fixed, but the issue with this is that it is over $1000 to get fixed. Now my mother drives my car sometimes, and she has a problem with driving my car because of this, so she does not drive it anymore. This issue could be a problem for someone else because it can lock up and cause a bad accident, kill or seriously injure someone. This problem should not be happening considering how new the vehicle is and I think they should be investigate because they didn't fix it during warranty because the issue was not consistent. Based on forums, I also see other people have a similar problem. Now it is every time I turn on the car it locks up when I turn left, it is very unsafe.

Vehicle had a multi-system failure while driving away from a parking lot. Engine did not stall at first. Initially the steering became hard from power steering loss, "service AWD" light came on, "service power steering" light was next, followed by brake system failure. Car was still a little driveable and then it stalled as I was stopping. This vehicle is very dangerous. Vehicle would not restart even though the button start system was telling me to step on the brake and push start. Waited 3 hours for a capable tow truck (due to the AWD). During the wait, the car's instrument panel would come alive, the panel gauges would swipe one time and various noises could be heard as if the car was starting but nothing was going on. This car is extremely dangerous.

My steering wheel got locked up on a highway going about 55 mph it was so hard to turn the steering wheel but I managed to pull over, the ABS, light came on and it said service power steering system, I turned the car off for about a minute then turned back on and it was back to normal, but a couple weeks later it's doing the same thing in my driveway but now it won't even turn on at all and it just says service power steering system, so I thought maybe the steering pump was bad so I purchased a used one on ebay installed it but still no luck it still wont turn on...

I was driving home from work around 2am on Tuesday morning 10/22/2013. I was just coming out of a construction zone and it just turned back to 55mph. I was going approximately 45 mph when all of a sudden I heard something in the front end and the steering wheel began to shake and it started moving back and forth without me moving it. I lost all control over the vehicle and it shot me over towards the right and slammed me into the guardrail. I continued to try to move the wheel to the left to get the car away from the guardrail but the whole car slid up against the guardrail before I could regain control and move the car away from the guardrail. This car was bought on 10/10/2013. I didn't even have it for two full weeks before this happened. There is almost $12,000 worth of damage done to the car. I have filed a claim with Chrysler group regarding this and they inspected the vehicle but according to them there was too much damage to tell exactly what happened so they aren't willing to do anything for me. I am a very experienced and safe driver, someone who has driven tractor trailer over the road for 5 years and if you look at my driving record it would match up with what I am saying. There was something very wrong with that vehicle that night and I could have been seriously hurt or even killed. The fact that my wife and I bought this car less than two weeks before the accident and Chrysler wants nothing to do with it is very disheartening. And I now have to keep driving this same car and worry every single day that something like this is going to happen again.
